Horseback Riding
Just about a half-mile from the cabin you passed the Lil Ponderosa on the way in where you can go horseback riding and perhaps do some cactch and release fishing. The state park also has several outfitters.
Restaurants
You will find a large assortment of restaurants along the Parkway in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Here are some of our favorites. Calhoun's for great ribs by Light 2A in Pigeon Forge and between Light 8 and 10 in Gatlinburg. The Chop House in the Tanger Mall offers a terrific 14 oz. pork chop. And one of our all time favorites Grandmother's Kitchen for some down home country cooking and the best homemade desserts you will ever find - they say life is uncertain eat dessert first. Grandma's is located on Wear's Valley Road (US 321) about 4-5 miles west of the Parkway on Light 3. And just one block down from Light 3 is Mel's Diner for some good old fashioned hamburgers and shakes.
